Poetry

Ah, poetry… sweet release. I have written poetry since I was in the 5th grade. At that time we did these fun memorization sessions where we would pick a poem we liked, memorize it, and recite it in front of crowds of people. I was really shy at that age so I’m a bit surprised as to how I did that with such confidence. I suppose I flooded my head with a lot of poetry from that time, I always wondered where some of the words came from in recent poems.

Sometimes I write poetry when there is so much going on in my head and I don’t think I could even begin to explain it to others, when I feel overwhelmed. It is a way for me to express myself, not so much to others, but more for the notepad that is receiving the words, verbs, thoughts, and emotions. The notepad has no re-buttle, no judgements, and no criticism, just how I like it.

The writing below is gorgeous, absolutely stunning, for I feel every word. If anyone wants to buy me an old school typewriter so I can start typing my poems, feel free to do so!

As always,

RaysUp!

This journey of life that we are currently on, is all about finding who we are, figuring out how to embrace our inner strengths, accepting and healing our weaknesses, and fulfilling our purpose. This journey of mine is all about the upward spiral, toward oneness, with each passing rung of the ladder. I hope this blog helps you out there, in one way or another, because that's what I'm here for. I live a purpose driven/cruelty-free/vegan/optimistic/sugar-free/yoga-fueled/fitness filled/adventure filled life.
