“Waiting for departure”

A delayed flight, coupled with a fierce determination to do something productive; one sketch pad, a pack of colorful gel pens, and a novel later, I sat down to read. A few chapters of “Cloud Cuckoo Land” (by Anthony Doerr) later, filled with growing anticipation, I shifted to the sketch pad.

I thought to myself, “this won’t work, I always stick to my monochromatic theme; no colorful pens!” But there is was, testing the pens out, excited to see what would happen.
