1-22-17 – “Unity”
This piece holds a lot of symbolism. The middle part came easily for me and I love how it had a quality of movement to it. However, once I completed the black ring, I became dissatisfied with the whole thing and almost moved on. Somehow I brought it back from there, however after finishing it, I know why it had to be there. It’s hard for me to look at this piece for too long without my eyes doing something funny on me to where the middle looks like it is moving against the black ring. I won’t go into detail about the rest of the symbolism because I want my readers to make what they want of it.
