6/5/16 – “Growth”

“I wish you wouldn’t say things: that you don’t mean.” (Growth)

Mandalas are circular designs that reflect the wholeness of the person creating them. According to Carl Jung, “a mandala is the psychological expression of the totality of self.” Jung a Swiss psychiatrist, discovered the significance of mandalas through his own inner work.

“I sketched every morning in a notebook, a small circular drawing, a mandala, which seemed to correspond to my inner situation at the time.” – Carl Jung

At the time that I created the mandala above I was really seeking to grow and understand things, I had/have a real yearning to know the meaning of it all. I was also going through a break up. The person that I was dating prior to the breakup really helped me grow and question things when it came to myself and the spiritual realm. A challenging yet pivotal point in my own personal growth and understanding.
